GE AND WABTEC RECEIVE EXPECTED REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM THE DOJ

Today, General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) and Wabtec Corporation (NYSE: WAB) confirmed that the companies each received a request for additional information (“second request”) from the United States Department of Justice (“DOJ”) in connection with the pending combination of GE’s transportation business with Wabtec. The second requests were expected and are a standard part of the DOJ review process. As previously announced, the merger is expected to close in early 2019, pending regulatory and customary closing conditions.
