GE Transportation volunteers in Shanghai lead efforts at local school

GE Transportation employees in Shanghai, China led a volunteer outing at Kangqiao Migrant School on March 8. Global Supply Chain Leader Richard Simpson and GE Transportation Asia Pacific CEO Mohamed Butt went along on the trip to visit the students with 18 volunteers.

During the outing, employees donated educational supplies, medical kits and utensils. Students in grades two and four drew pictures with GE volunteers to present to their mothers for International Women’s Day.

GE Transportation has a long-term partnership with Kangqiao School with regular programs focused on education in addition to donations. Since 2014, GE Transportation has volunteered around 240 hours each year at the school.
