GE Transportation Gives Back to the Erie Community in 2016

GET Volunteer

In 2016, GE Transportation employees in Erie, PA donated $2.25M in charitable contributions and more than 16,000 volunteer hours.

Money raised, supported, in part, the Walk for Babies campaign and the Bids for Kids annual event supporting Shriners Hospitals for Children, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club.

Employees also gave their time, contributing 3,000 volunteer hours to mentoring and teaching FIRST Robotics, and hosting 50 girls for the GE Girls at Penn State Behrend STEM camp for middle-school girls.

At GE Transportation's annual community day, 900 volunteers donated 6,300 hours in one day, which equals 3.5 years of work, that was completed in a single day!

At GE Transportation, we are proud of the work our employees do in the communities in which they live and work.
