Charmin J. Tillman
Charmin Tillman is the Chief Marketing Officer of GE Transportation. She has over 20 years of experience in marketing and growth strategy, with particular focus in the areas of marketing strategy design and execution, customer insight development, sales and service delivery improvement programs, and customer experience management.
Charmin joined General Electric in 2005 at GE Capital where she held several marketing and strategy leadership roles. Charmin served as Head of Strategy for GE Capital EMEA’s commercial and retail financial services business, where she managed strategic planning, strategic initiative execution and market insight functions. Prior to this role, she also served as the global sales effectiveness leader and as a business segment marketing leader at GE Capital Real Estate, overseeing sales analytics, customer relationship management (CRM), customer insight, and sales effectiveness programs impacting teams in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Prior to rejoining GE in 2016 in the CMO role at GE Transportation, Charmin was a Principal with Ernst & Young LLP in its financial services advisory practice. In this role, she led client engagements to address a range of customer strategy and business performance improvement issues, including: client experience, channel transformation; new product launch; and development of customer retention and growth strategy. Her previous experience also includes consulting roles in the financial services strategy practice of Accenture from 1996 to 2005.
Charmin holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and BS/BA degrees in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
